City of Red Deer Use of Public Facilities and Land Framework

  • Barb consulted with The Recreation, Parks and Culture Department about the development of a framework for the use of public facilities and land which includes facilitating meetings and workshops with City staff members, analysis of current documentation and practices in the City, facilitating community focus groups, research into beneficial practices with other municipalities, and writing of various reports including a comprehensive framework (values, vison, principles, decision-making criteria)

 

Active Creative Engaged (ACE) Communities with Alberta Recreation and Parks Association

  • Barb provided facilitation, training, research, and consulting services to ACE Communities. She worked with community leaders from 30 municipalities across Alberta, designing and facilitating six leadership retreats, researching and writing about community engagement, and conducting online facilitation sessions. She served as the community development coach with the Towns of Olds, Carstairs, and Didsbury.

 

Alberta Seniors and Community Supports – Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities

  • Barb reviewed the mandate and operations of the Premier’s Council including stakeholder and public consultation (with Toni Lashbrook & Associates Inc.).
